Dividing Community
Property and Debt
The easiest approach is to divide everything right down the middle. But is that fair? Some debts rightfully belong more to one of you then the other. And some community property means more to one of you then the other.
Dividing community property and debt is an excellent opportunity to learn how to cooperate with fairness and equitability as the cornerstones of a new relationship. Its our responsibility to guide both of you towards a mutually satisfactory agreement. There will be instances when you are both trying to be fair, and still cant agree.
Well take you through every rough spot, keeping it peaceful, keeping it simple, and getting it done.

Humble Connected Graceful
It takes the same attitude to maintain a healthy marriage, as it
does to create a cooperative divorce
But divorce driven fear anger and betrayal stimulate pain
And when we hurt we become self-centered
And sometimes we make impulsive, rationalized decisions that we think protect the kids
But it’s often pain expressed as anger and control driving us
There’s an old saying:
Be as wise as a serpent
As gentle as a dove
The Sage Stones Peaceful Divorce Process is guided by that. |

Child Support
Child Support is governed by California Guidelines. and calculated using
the Disso-Master computer program.
We use the same program. The primary factors to figure Child Support
are: The number of children, each parent’s income, and their share
of parenting time.
Child support should commence as soon as parents separate financially.
If the payor is reluctant, then the parent who has the kids most of
the time, may have to file for a court hearing to get a Child Support
Order. This can happen before the divorce and we can do it.
And we hope that it is the only hearing required before you and the
other parent let us help create a Peaceful Divorce Plan!

Custody and Cooperative Parenting
Plans
Wouldn’t it be ideal if the kids had uncomplicated, consistent
access to both parents? And when they are at the other parent’s
home, they are fed well and get their homework done. And when the kids
came back from the other parent’s home, they arrive on time and
they’re mellow… Let us lead, and we’ll take you there.
Often, difficult emotions get entangled between parents when trying
to devise a custody agreement and cooperative parenting plan. Underneath
these emotions are unmet needs that create mistrust, doubt and anger.
It’s our responsibility to help parents identify and address these
issues so that the impact they have on custody and cooperative parenting
is healing in nature for both parents and in the best interests of the
kids.
A durable Custody and Cooperative Parenting Agreement must address the
kids’ current needs as well as a plan for how all future needs
will be handled and shared between the parents. There’s more to
it then child support. There are many: What Ifs? We’ll help you
establish a comprehensive and complete agreement that’s in the
best interests of the children, and we’ll provide ongoing resources
to help both parents overcome any obstacles that get in the way of being
excellent parents and co-parenting partners.
